Olive oil: Safe for Dogs and Cats?
SafeDogs
Olive oil in small amounts is generally safe for dogs and may support skin and coat health, but too much can cause weight gain and digestive upset, and dogs with pancreatitis may not tolerate it well.
Safe serving: A small drizzle mixed into food occasionally, not as a regular addition without a vet's guidance.
CautionCats
Small amounts of olive oil are not toxic to cats and are sometimes used for hairball or coat support, but too much fat can cause vomiting or diarrhea, and cats with pancreatitis should avoid it entirely.
